Phonak hearing aid domes – comfort and clarity for your hearing aids
Explore our extensive selection of Phonak hearing aid domes, designed to enhance your listening experience. Providing exceptional comfort and optimal sound delivery, ensuring you get the best performance from your hearing aids, Phonak focuses on the customer. Available in various sizes and styles, these domes fit your specific needs and preferences.
What are the differences between Phonak domes?
Our collection includes Phonak’s Smokey Domes, such as the widely-used ‘Phonak Open Smokey,’ which fits all Phonak hearing aids with receivers or SlimTubes. Additionally, we offer Phonak 4.0 Domes, introduced with Marvel hearing aids and now also used for Paradise and newer models.
Phonak Vented Domes Clear 6.0 are specifically designed for Phonak Audéo Fit models. These ventilated domes ensure optimal airflow, sound intensity, and maximum comfort during extended wear.
We also carry Phonak Universal SlimTips, an ultra-soft and flexible rubber mold that serves as an alternative to Phonak domes. Designed for the ActiveVent Receiver MAV, these tips offer versatile ear solutions.
Domes for Phonak hearing aids are available in Small, Medium, and Large sizes. Your choice of dome version depends on the sound you want and how the dome fits in your ear. Open domes provide a brighter sound by not closing off the ear canal, while closed and power domes create a deeper, more intense sound by sealing the ear canal more effectively.
How often should you change your Phonak ear domes?
Domes, also known as sound domes, plugs, or tips, are the small rubber pieces that sit inside your ears. Whether your hearing aids are new or old, it’s best to change the domes every four weeks to maintain sound quality. If you produce a lot of earwax or want a cleaner hearing aid, consider changing them even more frequently.
How to change domes for Phonak hearing aids?
Changing Phonak ear domes is simple. Gently pry the dome off the hearing aid’s speaker or sound tube, then place the new dome on the tip of the hearing aid. Ensure the dome is pressed down securely over the barbs on the tip. Always remove the dome when you change the wax filter, and replace both at least every four weeks.
