There are three types of domes: open, tulip-shaped, and power domes.
The open domes come with ventilation holes that allow air into the ear canal. Open domes take up very little space in the ear canal, preventing a clogged feeling, and generally produce brighter sound compared to other domes.
The tulip-shaped domes offer a sound quality that’s a mix between open and closed domes. Their pointed shape partially closes off your ear canal, delivering a stronger and more intense bass sound than open domes while still providing some airflow to the ear canal.
Power domes are suitable for severe hearing loss as they offer the most bass amplification. With their double lamellas, power domes ensure a tight seal in the ear canal, providing an intense sound experience.
